Rainforest Action Network 40 Year Anniversary Identity
From its founding in 1985, Rainforest Action Network (RAN) has launched and delivered on bold campaigns to hold some of the world’s biggest corporations accountable — calling out business models linked with forest destruction, tracking supply chains eroding biodiversity, exposing the banks funding the climate crisis, and pressuring corporate giants to respect and uphold Indigenous Peoples and human rights.
2025 kicked off RAN’s 40th year, and the launch of a special “40 Years” visual identity utilizing the iconic panther as the centerpiece emerging forward from inside the number 40, symbolizing RAN’s historic journey and the work that remains to be done. The logo helped commemorate the organization’s long list of achievements leading up to a special in-person event on October 16th at The Fillmore auditorium in San Francisco.
The Fillmore event provided a unique opportunity to blend RAN’s unique and energetic style of activism with an historic legacy of live music history, which culminated in a unique print run of Fillmore-style rock posters commemorating the event.
